I've been involved in the wrestling business since 1988, when there were still territories and Vince McMahon hadn't taken over the wrestling world. I started out as a manager for Rochester favorites, The Psychos, going by the name El Psycho Grande. A few years later, I began my brief stint as a wrestler (first as Mathias, then The Sandman, then El Muerte Hombre) in Geneva, facing a Freddy Krueger reject known as Freddy Nightmare. Moving on, I started refereeing, which I continue to do to this day. I recently returned to active duty for NWA Upstate as The Dustytaker, kind of a takeoff of The Deadman minus the tattoos. And height. And the weight. You get the idea.I've worked for many promotions around Western New York in those 20+ years: IWF, ICW, BCW, NMW, NEWF, RPW, KDW, RCW, SPW, etc. I've met a lot of new and upcoming talent, plus a lot of legends from WWF, WCW, and AWA. I've had the opportunity to see a lot of the local talent make it to the big stage and take pride in the fact that I had the chance to work with these youngsters.I've traveled mostly around the New York area (Buffalo, Rochester, Depew, Schenectady, Geneva) and occasionally roamed up to Canada and Ohio for a show or two. Canada's great, just wish they'd stop pulling me over at the border every time I go up there (must not like guys in black, I dunno).
