Love is 1Corinthians 13:1-13 I was born in Germany to German parents, adopted by Amer. parents and raised throughout the USA. I enjoy studying history, current events, geopolitics and home improvement (which is somewhat of a necessity as I am an urban pioneer and am renovating my 80 year old bungalow). I enjoy writing, drawing, and painting.I enjoy being outside; From camping and trout fishing in the north Georgia mountains to taking weekend trips to the sugar sand beaches of Florida. I enjoy quiet evenings watching old black& white movie classics on the couch with popcorn, particularly with someone special in my life. I turned 41 in early March but I certainly do not feel that I look like or act like a typical 41 year old. I try not too take myself too seriously and enjoy being silly, clowning around and cutting up, realizing that there are times when we must be serious about our lives. I am unpretentious and not materialistic and seek the same. I am appreciative of life and the simple things it has to offer. I do not care for those people who whine or complain about trivial and petty issues in life as their are so many people across this globe who do not have the advantages we have in this country; There are always those who are worse off and we should try to keep things in this perspective. I am a non-denominational Christian. I am not a Saint nor a holier than thou type of individual as I believe we have all fallen woefully short. Remeber we are all sinners.I am open minded and non-judgmental when it comes to my life and faith. However, I do desire to share my life with someone that shares the same beliefs, values, and priorities in life.
I love Symphony arrangements for soundtracks as well as classical music. I love the standards and music from the 30's and 40's. There is always a time for jazz and what some people call new age. My music listening interests are varied including rock, country, reggae and old school R&B, but these are the genres that get the most play when I'm at home.
Much like my music I have a deep appreciation for the old movies. I love the b&w film noir clasics and those Universal horror classics from the 30's and 40's. I love those B sci-fi flixs from the 50's, those crazy Abbott and Costello movies from the 40's and the Marx Brothers classics from the 30's. Of course I always enjoy going to the local theater and checking out something new with a big bag of popcorn.
Televison?? Televison is pretty much just a big monitor for my DVD player unless I am watching the news, the U of F Gators football games, or something on the Hitler, uh I mean History channel. Gotta love those old WWII documentaries!
Books? Well they are all over my house. I prefer non fiction unless I am reading one of the classic writers. Twain's essays and humor were so far ahead of his time. There is always time every day to read God's word!
