Anonymous (21st Century)

Hi! Thanks for visiting my page :) ____________________________________________________________ _This is a sort of solo project, but I didn’t want to release a 12-track cd with my name on it, so let’s say this is a band in which I write and play all the music with some guest musicians. There is no intention of releasing an album and the idea is simply to upload a new song as regularly as possible here in myspace. ____________________________________________________________ _Why Anonymous (21st Century)? Well, since this isn’t really a band, just like it isn’t really a solo project, the term anonymous just seemed to fit this perfectly. The name also refers to a kind of music I hold dear, the ancient music. There were so many awesome compositions written by this weird guy anonymous! ;) - take “greensleeves” for example. And then there’s the main reason. Just think about this; isn’t it funny that in this century of globalized information there are so many anonymous people behind many of the works we know? Do you know the people behind the commercials you watch everyday? Do you know who wrote Madonna’s latest hit? Not to mention all the material that is out there in the net. ____________________________________________________________ _I don’t know what kind of music I am writing for this project, don’t know what the next song is going to sound like. All I know is that I want to give people a positive perspective of anything I feel like singing about. We all give in to frustration too easily, and so most of the songs we listen to everyday talk about how bad somebody’s feeling about something. I grew up listening to songs like Van Halen’s Why Can’t This Be Love or Damn Yankees’ High Enough and it made me feel optimistic about life and understand the power that there is in music to change people and eventually the world we live in. So that’s it! I believe that positive thinking is what it takes for us to make a better world… but we just won’t make it without some positive music! ____________________________________________________________ _Hope you like it.
