I was born in Shoreditch a very rough area of East London in August 1957. At the age of 3 years I was listening to my Mothers rock n roll records, My Dad had many 45 records he had obtained from the USA when he was in the Navy, Rock n Roll that was never heard of in this country until the mid 70s, so I was lucky to have had an early influence in Rock n Roll / Rockabilly. There was also plenty to be heard on the radio in the early 60s. By the mid 70s aged 19 years, I brought my first Drape suit and became one of the many Teddy Boys during what was seen as the biggest Rock n Roll revival since the 1950s. I remember the Black Raven near Liverpool St Station, London, often went to the Adem and Eve in Hackney, the Royalty, London, Burnell Arms, London, the Maypole in Barking, the Queens Hotel- Southend, Peir Bar-Southend, Minerva-Southend, Shrimpers-Southend, Pink Toothbrush- Rayleigh. Motorcycles and Rockabilly is the life blood of my life, to me there is no music like it and never will be, so if you like pop or any other type of music, don't waist your time or mine by contacting me, I have no interest in part time Rock n Rollers / Plastics, If you ain't Rockin ' don't come knocking.
