Kazi Yonkers-bred by the way of Boston , MA and Montreal , PQ , realized very young that life is written. Being a rapper/ label exec was his destiny because he almost died as infant. In Kazi's father hustling days, a deal went bad and his rival promise to kill his 1st child & wife. This made his father stop that lifestyle for the well-being of his family. Unfortunately, the nature of hustling was hereditary. Because of his ability to carry himself a certain way, he managed money to go IAR ( Institute of Audio Research ). This is where he met his partner Gunny who had similar love for the art of hip hop. He vowed not to handle any narcotics while in school, which he did, thinking his goal was near. With a diploma, degrading internship offers, he went back to his old lifestyle. This time, his ability to network landed him a position at Blackground Records. The record company was known at the time for making hits from Aaliyah, Timbaland, Tank and others. Under the guidance of Jimmy Henchmen, he learned the "Dos & Don'ts" of the industry. On 08/25/01 losing Aaliyah and two weeks later, 9/11 had him back on the streets. It forced him, again, to go back to his old ways. Now the only way he can explain his stories is through a mic and beat This Yonkers native goes by the name Gunny. At early age of 6, he had a love for music. Not much later on in life, he found his love for hip hop and art. He started to write his own lyrics at 14 along with the wildest streak for the streets, which evolves guns & drug dealing. In 1999, Gunny united with partner Kazi, at the Institute of Audio Research . Gunny was expelled, while Kazi graduated and landed a slot at Blackground Records. Then both were formed at the early stage formed Saga Hill. While the music game had a drought, he found another way to paint pictures with different set inks, as a tattoo artist. Within a short period of time, he manage to get a tremendous amount of clientele ranging from Yonkers to North Carolina. Whether it’s with a “Tattoo Machineâ€, a number 2 pencil or a fineline pen, he is devoted to make fans visualize what is compiled in his mind.
