1/1/09 update -
'Come so Close'... One of Scott's favorites. Played at every show.
'On the Radio' was one of the first songs we worked on in late 2003. This is what it sounded like back then. It was put away for a long time and then we dug back into it and even played it live towards the end. This demo is less 'rocked out' than how it finally turned out, but I like how abrasive it sounds. A lot of experimenting with different sounds.
'Prudence'... Not the true title, but reminded us of another song by the same name ;) We tried messing with this song in the beginning, but never developed it beyond recording a demo of it. I thought it would be nice to hear a different angle of our musical tastes. Scott sings on this recording.
12/16/08 update -
'Wetting the Sugar' was finished as far as structure, but a solid vocal arrangement was never established. We were lucky to have played this song once live... the last show. It was one of 3 new songs we played for the first time at our last show. I almost videotaped that show--it would have been a treasure now, but didn't seem that important at the time. It just goes to show you how every moment is valuable. This recording (from practice) is either from the end of september or beginning of november.
12/8/08 update - I have been going through several practice tapes I got from Erica and I located a particular one Scott talked about. We taped it about two weeks before he passed. As soon as I can convert these recordings to a digital format, I'll post some unheard material Scott really liked.

ersa miner played it's final show on friday, october 24th 2008.
some of you were able to be there, and for that, we were both grateful.
my friend, r. scott ames passed away on sunday october 26th 2008.besides myself, as only a part of ersa miner, i would like scotty's friends to give emotional support to his wife, erica. my thoughts are also with his parents, brother and other family members.
the music was fun, i can't believe we can't do this anymore.
