I'm a stay-at-home mom and a proud mother of two beautiful boys. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing (poems, short stories, and LONG emails!), fishing, hiking, horseback riding, traveling, collecting antiques, entertaining friends, teaching my son the art of finding a bargain, or negotiating prices at garage sales. I love holding my new son as he sleeps, reading with my kids, sitting outside with my family under the stars, watching fire-flies, people watching, taking pictures, listening to relaxing music, bubble baths, candlelit dinners, s'mores, the smell of a good cigar, coffee, feather beds, Christmas morning, the smell of morning dew on the grass, watching the sun rise, slow dances, being sung to, laughing, massages, hearing the chime of a clock, watching the Travel Channel and HGTV's Generation Renovation, interior decorating, curling up on the couch with my family for movie night, daisies, stargazer lillies, gardenia's, the sound of rain, thunderstorms, Tennessee in the fall and I love the prescence of TRUE friends. Upon meeting me, I'm usually shy and very quiet. I tend to watch people before I approach them, which usually merits the judgement of me acting "stuck up" as my mom calls it! *l* Once I get to know someone by "watching them", I open up completely. I'm a bit naive, completely gullible and a big klutz. I'm the kind of girl that men love to talk to and most women hate. I don't have a lot of female friends because let's be honest....women are vindictive and i don't trust their motives. I am a once divorced woman who was lucky to find and marry the love of my life. I am a firm believer in the sayings "No one ever became a failure without their own consent" and "Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced." I am a former Marine which catches many off-guard. I've actually done bootcamp twice...thanks to the lovely rifle range....but I did it because I had to know if I could be one of the few, and the proud....the Marines!! *lol* (Now I sound like a recruiting advertisement!) I'm a sentimental girl who loves sappy love stories and who cries every time I hear the National Anthem. I have the most respect for those who have served in our military, however....I tend to hold Marines (past and present) to higher standards because what can I say.....they're the best!
