Shemsi Mushkolaj-Kamaj(26 years old)is an Kosovo-Albanian singer and songwriter. She was born and grown up in Germany and lives now in the Netherlands. Shemsi came to fame in 1999 with her first released single ’Say you will be mine’ by universal records which was produced by Michael B and Pommez di Lorenzo in Germany. Following the release of the two other singles ’reality’ and ’Will you be my friend’, she decided to stop with the music career for a while until she finish her studies(teaching profession). Now after also becoming a mother of a beautyful son and almost a second child, she decides to go on with the music which is a big part of her life. Shemsi’s music talent was discoverd at first by her big sister Ylli who always supported her in every single way. Later she was discoverd by many producers... She was as well the first Kosovo-Albanian singer who made it through MTV and VIVA (the german music channel). In 1999 when Shemsi was 17 years old, she signed her first big contract at the universal records. She also won the titel of the beautyful face 1998 in her city Dortmund and was modeling for the famous store H&M. In 2002 Shemsi also performed in front of 2,8 million people in the preliminary decision of Germany of the eurovision song contest with Verena Stanley (Unity 2). The euro-vision event was the last official performance of Shemsi which was decided by her herself. Now it’s time for her to come back and share wih us her love for music...it’s justa matter of time.
