Originally from Chicago, Illinois Tina Novak has been singing professionally since the age of 12. Raised in Tampa, Florida, she performed throughout her home state at various sporting events singing The National Anthem, half time, pre-show, and VIP performances for such organizations as The NFL, NBA & NHL, and Major League Baseball. At 14, Tina was the second youngest singer to perform The National Anthem at her hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers home opener. She spent her youth performing at major conventions, charity benefits, galas, private parties, cruise ships, theme parks and clubs, with audiences ranging from a few hundred to 55,000. At an early age Tina began traveling throughout the U.S., forming relationships in the music business, and working with writers and producers. By age 18, she moved to Atlanta to pursue music full time, and signed her first production deal at 19 years old with Grammy Award winning producer, Kevin "Spekspere" Briggs, who had produced mega hits for the likes of NSYNC, Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men, TLC, Destiny's Child, Usher, P!nk, Sinead O'Connor and more. "Shekspere," formed a label partnering with L.A. Reid and Arista Records/BMG Music, and introduced Tina Novak as his first Artist. Tina Novak signed her first record deal at age 20, and in 2002 her first U.S. single debut, "Been Around the World." The single had moderate success in The States, but was a huge hit in Japan, charting at number 3, and even number 1 on some Japanese charts. As things heated up in Japan, a cool down was on the horizon in The States. Before Tina's full length album ever had the opportunity to be released in the U.S., "Shekspere's" joint venture deal on Arista went under. However, in Japan, two more singles were released and both were Top 10 hits, "Summertime," and "Still," and the full length album was released overseas as well. Tina continued to ride the wave of success in Japan, but longed to release material in the U.S. again. In 2003, Tina Novak moved to New York City and joined Ray Roc and signed her second deal with Tommy Boy Records and began work on "The Roc Project" album, finishing the entire album in only 4 weeks. The first two singles went to number 1 on the Billboard Dance Charts. The singles were huge club hits & Tina enjoyed touring the country as The Roc Project. In early 2004, Tina began feeling creatively restrained, and decided to end her relationship, with The Roc Project. She immediately went into the studio with her friend & New York based producer Suzen Wybiral. The pair recorded some material together, but it was at this time that Tina decided it was time to step away from the lime light. She moved back to Tampa, Florida, got married and bought 2 small dogs. Tina spent the next few years enjoying much needed time with her new husband, family, friends, and began doing a lot of traveling -for fun this time. She has enjoyed dedicating the last few years to herself & her family. In December of 2007, Tina recorded the single "Really Into You," for a Japanese compilation record with DJ Kimori on Manhattan Records. Since it's release in early Spring 2008 the single went to number 1 on Japanese iTunes in April.Tina still goes into the studio and enjoys working on new material often. The right situation could always lead her back to her home on the stage and behind the microphone. Tina has music in her blood, it is her gift & passion, and she loves nothing more than to share it with appreciative fans. But for now, she simply enjoys creative sessions with producers of her choosing, and performing privately and locally for enjoyment, and she welcomes the right opportunity to do so.
