Joyce has been living in the west of Ireland for the past 15 years. Aran Islands, the Burren and Galway town. She has sang on all 3 islands, Kinvara and Galway town in sessions in pubs and by bonfires. She sings with Mary Shanon and occasionaly with Sharon Shannon.Joyce is from Howth, Co.Dublin. Daughter of a Fisherman and mother from the Aran Islands, also from a fishing family. Joyce grew up arround singing, fishing, drinking in Howth and spent her summers on the Aran Islands singing to tourists and learning sean nos from the natives ! Singing at bonfires and pub sessions.She has also gigged in Dublin in her teens and sang Fairy Tale of New York with Shane McGowan last Christmas.She also plays Bodhran. Has played on "Galway girl" with both Steve Earle and Mundy.
