About Me

I'm the drummer for Synth-Pop supergroup SLAVE to the SQUAREwave. We've been compared to the Talking Heads and Devo and pride ourselves as being the most entertaining live act you will ever see in a small club! You can check us out at slavetothesquarewave.com or here on my space under search name slave to the squarewave. I have been into music for as long as I can rememeber. I started playing violin in grade 2 and switched to drums by grade 6. The difference was outright noticeable, definitely to my parents! I went from practising in the bedroom to practising in the garage! I have played with many different bands of various genres, from my very first in grade 7 called "The Quaker Man Band" to such highschool favourites as "The Fear of Dance"(a new wave band) & "EreveS"(Rush & Triumph covers). Next came "Instant Gothic" (rock), "Wet Spots" (punk rock), "Hyperstick Overdrive" (space rock), "Cringe" (grunge), and then "Tristan Psionic" which was started by Sandy MacIntosh, Mark Milne and I in the late 80's. Sandy and I had gone to the same highschool. I had also entered Mohawk College for the applied music program and was opened to a whole new world called Jazz. Quickly I switched my major to half jazz / half classical and learned melodic and symphonic percussion as well. By this time I was playing drums and keyboard simultaneously on stage as a new kind of gimmick. It worked well and I joined "Chocolate Buddha" a 3 piece top 40 cover act. Next cover band was "Eden Hill" until it was time to get the hell out of the Hammer! Moving out of Hamilton supplied a new city (Toronto), a new job (Steve's Music) and a new pool of musicians to jump into. The store was brimming with want to be rockstars and indie-rock hopefulls. In no time I was playing with "Autoloader" (rock), "Voodoo Walters and the Rhythm Method" (blues), "The SkyJumpers" (jazz/funk), "Sean Browne Band" (indie rock) and then "$heer Greed" (glam rock)the last of the Steve's bands that saw the untimely passing of lead singer Kyle "Adolph Chri$t" MacDonald at age 29. One of the most brilliant and talented frontmen/vocalists I had ever played with. He was the reverend in the 1'st Church of Rock & Roll. We were slated to record the album not less than 2 days after his death. It shocked us all and it was hard to lose a friend, co-worker, and bandmate. WE ALL MISS YOU A.C. That brings us up to the present with my current, and by far the most fun band "SLAVE to the SQUAREwave" or for short "S2TSW". The most poppy, dancy, infectious grooving, rockin' foursome that is poised to take over the world. You will dance, monkeys, dance!SLAVE DRUMMERS MY SPACE PAGE SLAVE to the SQUARE wave SLAVE to the SQUARE Click here to get Falling Objects wave SLAVE to the SQUARE wave SLAVE to the SQUARE wave SLAVE to the SQUARE wave

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

New fans and people who share the same interests. I don't care if you're new to town with a web cam and wanting to show me what you've got or if your in a band that sends out 40 bulletins per hour about your next gig. You will be denied or removed from my friends list! For the love of God, don't plaster your posters into my comments. A simple invite or bulletin will do. Working in the Music industry has allowed me to meet most of my idols. And I suppose someday I will meet my "Maker"!!!

God of Drums

Yes, I sat so close I could see his deep thought emerge like a freight train from a mossy tunnel! I even stalked Mr. Copeland outside his Hotel for an autograph. Mission Successful.
