There was always a session or a gig to go too.Jimmy Bryant,Strawberry Alarm Clock,Count Basie.I still get ribbed by Merle Haggard for peeing on his lap when I was around three or four years old.I got a lot of childhood memories but now I'm making grown up ones to share with my kid's. As a picker now myself I have had the pleasure of backing up some real country music legends like Freddie Hart, Patsy Montana ,Billy Walker ,Johnny Paycheck ,Uncle Eddie Dean,Smokey Rogers,Lawton Jiles,Rose Maddux ,Larry Collins, Joe and Rose Maphis and many others.I've had the honor of sitting in room just singing classic country songs with my late friend Keith Whitley ,Mark Chesnutt and Skip Ewing. Playing with my band Southern Spirit ,though has been some of the best times ever opening for artist like Joe Diffie ,Aaron Tippin ,The Kentucky Headhunters ,Toby Keith,Lee Roy Parnell ,Pam Tillis,Confederate Railroad, Glen Frey ,Travis Tritt ,Marty Stuart ,Mark Collie,Brooks and Dunn ,Trace Adkins and so many,many more. Now it's just fun pickin' when I get the chance and I'm having more fun playing now than ever.I've made a lot of friends in the music world and look forward to making many more and hopefully when that last curtain calls and I can't pick a lick anymore I'll be able to look back and appriciate all the times I did get to pick!
