Wagonfest 2008 (7/12/08)
(Gravity Wagon’s 1st birthday)
It is time once again for Wagonfest! For those of you who have attented prior, this is one of the greatest parties I’ve ever been to. Let me break it down a but for you out there in TV land. First off, we have a beautiful rural venue in Hampshire Illinois. There is sand volleyball, horseshoes and all sorts of outdoor fun. It’s conveniently located just off I-90 slightly west of Elgin, IL. Camping is included. BEER IS INCLUDED. Yes, you did read that right. This isn’t some cheesy little keg party either. We will have a full festival beer truck out to make sure everyone gets all they can drink. Really, that’s worth the price of admission alone. I don’t know about you all, but I haven’t had many bar tabs under $30, especially at places that let me sleep there (The Goat was and exception). Finally, we will have the biggest sound and light show this side of the wall of sound. Full professional rig, pristine sounds, big bass and all kinds of pretty lights to look at while you enjoy the music/party favors. If I haven’t made my point yet, we ain’t fuckin around with this thing.
The main course of any good party is the tunes, and my dear friends, we got em for ya. There will be live music ALL WEEKEND!
So let’s do the final details. We are asking for a $25 donation to help offset the cost of everything. That includes the bands, the camping, sound/lighting and unlimited access to THE GIANT BEER TRUCK!!!! Of course, this is a 21 and over event due to the alcohol being served. We are also looking for volunteers to help run/setup this thing. You wonderful volunteers get all this without having to shill out coins. This party was a big money loser last year and it will likely be one again this year. This is our big thank you to everyone. This is not something you want to have to hear about from all those that came out while you went to some crappy bar and struck out all night. Send us a message on myspace or email [email protected] with any questions you may have. Finally, we have camping because we are all strongly against driving after you’ve had a few. So yeah, camp out, call a cab or have a DD. This is a celebration and we would prefer to have the good vibes alive the next morning as well.
