Central Florida's premier extreme sports and music television show! THE EDGE is the ultimate mash-up of up and coming athletes and musicians from around Central Florida. Premiering on local PBS Station WDSC, THE EDGE offers to you what no other show around can, an inside look into the lives and action of some of Central Florida's Hottest up-and-coming athletes as they do what they do best, shred, cut and slice through lines on their way to the top.
Episode 1
The premier episode features Orlando wakeboarder DANIEL POWERS, as he takes you through the ins and outs of his daily routine. DANIEL shows off some of his sickest tricks and Pro wakeboarders PHILLIP SOVEN, JOSH PALMA, and KYLE RATTRAY even drop by to lend some of their expertise.
Also spotlighted is a young skater from the Orlando area by the name of ZANE SHOEMAKE. Watch as we talk with Zane about the skating culture here in Orlando, as well as the culture in general.
Finally recording artist MODERN DAY ESCAPE will share some tracks throughout the show from their album EP. MODERN DAY ESCAPE are also Orlando locals who have been seen recently at The Haven.
Episode 2 Promotional Party
That’s Right!
Feb. 22nd 2009 The Edge will be holding its first Promotional party to celebrate the release of our second episode!
It will be held at Mesh Skate Park in Longwood, FL and will be nothing short of amazing
Hosted by The Edge host Nelson Stowe
Featuring Live Performances from Modern Day Escape and 7 Blue skies plus a battle of the bands competition with local bands
PLUS! All exclusiveSKATE COMPS: Two age categories 15 & under and 16 & up. 2 minute skate runs top skater from each heat will go on to finals. 2 finalists battle it out and the winner of finals will be spotlighted on Episode 3!
BMX COMPS: Jam contest, 3 riders at a time, ride for 2 minute sessions and judges pick the best to watch, and then have a final heat where the overall winner is picked. Plus an all out trick competition where each competitor gets 2 minutes to bust out as many tricks as they can, top 2 go to finals and battle it out. Winner spotlighted on episode 3!

Episode 2
Episode 2 will feature New Smyrna’s very own BMX riders Ian Phillips and Jeremy
Gullo. They lend their expertise in the sport and show off their ‘big air’ for the
camera!
Also Spotlighted is Cocoa Beach’s very own surfer Dane Carroll. Dane rips the
harsh swells along Cocoa Beach’s sandy shores and demonstrates to the audience his
love for the sport; his father Ricky Carroll who owns R&D surf, even drops by to shred
some waves with his son.
Music will be provided by Orlando’s own “7 Blue Skiesâ€
band who will lend their own groove to this latest episode, premiering in March 2009!

Where would any TV show be without viewers? Nowhere, exactly, on THE EDGE we believe that too, so all of our athletes and musical acts are chosen from YOU, the viewer. We want to see your session tapes and we want to hear your demos, we want YOU to be on the show! The MySpace site is set up specifically for this transfer of information.
