About Me

I grew up in North Texas, went to school in near Dallas, went to college at Texas A&M, went to class, played in a band (Thanks for the Update), directed a film festival (2001 Texas Film Festival), graduated, moved back in with my parents, moved to Austin, played in a couple of bands (not worth mentioning), worked a shitty customer service job, decided I wanted to make movies, helped to start a film production company (Monkeys Among Us), made a couple of films around Austin and Dallas, moved to California, made some movies, worked on some tv shows, moved back to Texas, getting ready for the next chapter in life...
You Are Austin
A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.
You're totally weird and very proud of it.
Artistic and freaky, you still seem to fit in... in your own strange way.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

people that... are laid back, are funny, are able to laugh, are able to cry, are able to talk about anything, are able to enjoy a nice moment of silence in a conversation, are able to enjoy a nice pint at a neighborhood bar/pub, love live music for the music not for the scene, don't lie, love life, aren't so obsessed with experiencing everything that they let the present pass them by, are shy, are outgoing, love movies (at home or at a theater), love animals, appreciate good food, are faithful, enjoy tv but don't watch it constantly, play video games, ...(most importantly) I want to meet people that are themselves, not trying to be somebody else.

Amvets no. 80, Lampasas, TX

So what do you do in a town that has no bar? Go drink at the local Amvet of course! For those who don't know, Amvet is similar to a VFW, or rather a social club for veterans. The only other option t...

Back in Austin, back in my own skin...

... why do I have this strange adoration for Austin. It almost like the comfort that a child experiences having his favorite blanket (aka banky) nustled against his cheeck. I feel so much better com...
