First of all welcome on my page, and thank U for taking the time to read about me. My name is Mario Roelofsen, born, raised and still living In Holland, and a guitar player as long I can remember. I started out after hearing when I was a 12 year old kid, and heard on the radio the Deep Purple song 'Child in Time', it really blew me away. And you can still feel the power of the song, especially the guitar solo from Ritchie Blackmore. So being a lifetime fan of Ritchie made me also decide to start a Deep Purple and Rainbow tribute band, that was 6 years ago. That band is called PURPLE RAINBOW. Of course I love much other music styles, like ,jazz, metal, classic, and very much the blues. I was for two years at the Rotterdam concervatorium to study jazz guitar which I still play sometimes. So when I was 20 years old, I started to gave guitar lessons, I had for a long time 60 students a week.That gives you the opportunity to listen and learn all music styles.Even now I still give guitar lessons. I have been playing in many bands and projects over the years, a few of the where DEALEN and AJ.Mharyo, they are the two that have always played their own music, of course there was always the Purple influence.
