Lauren Penick is a singer/songwriter in Austin, Tx who writes a variety of styles of songs and has experience in singing and vocal training. Her goals are to get her songs published and exploited in as many places as possible, to become a skilled guitarist, perform live, & do other miscellaneous freelance vocal work.
As a vocalist, her voice tends to fit well in the country and pop genres, or a mix of the two. Lauren has recorded a demo CD, which was recorded at Million Dollar Sound, and has three cover songs: “Strawberry Wine†by Deana Carter, “Goodbye to You†by Michelle Branch, and “Time after Time†by Cyndi Lauper.
As a writer, her favorite artist influences are Jewel, Shakira, and Michelle Branch. It is hard to define her work into any specific genre, as it ranges from country to pop to acoustic/folk. It continues to grow and develop as she does as an artist.
Lauren is collaborating with musician David Penick, and is currently working ..ing some of her own works and recording them. Stay tuned for more updates on her debut album and eventual live performances. They will be posted on this fan page regularly.
