About Me

What the STARS say: be a fearless leader instead! of what?
Sagittarius Horoscopes: Monday, Jun 9th, 2008
Don't be surprised today when others, including your superiors, look to you for a reality check at work.
You are the go-to person now because you know what's happening.
This is your chance to demonstrate your ability to operate smoothly in a crisis.
You have earned the right to tell others what to do, so don't withdraw from the action; be a fearless leader instead.
Postscript: cool
Tomorrow belongs to thee
RECLAIMING THE AIRWAVES FOR THE COMMUNITY BROADCAST BY THE COMMUNITY TO THE COMMUNITY-WORLDWIDE

"Community Stations are owned by the Community and that ownership stays with the community; their licence cannot be bought or sold. Anyone in the community can be a part of or 'own' part of the station. At their best, Community Stations addressing disadvantage, reduce isolation, provide people with career opportunities, provide community cohesion, reinforce identity, provide diversity of voices, celebrate, promote genuine democracy, facilitate volunteerism, and act as a catalyst for integration and inclusion" CRAOL 2008
EXCEPTING of course if you believe in the above and speak out against "Social Injustice" in Ireland: Then you will be "SILENCED" just like, Me :-)
Ballina in County Mayo had the highest unemployment rate among large Irish towns, with 15.8 per cent of its labour force out of work.
Tralee (14.2%)
Dundalk (13.9%) also had high unemployment at the time of the 2006 census.
Nothing changes all remains the same.hmn
"Community Broadcasting Initiatives not withstanding?"
The Sex Offenders Act 2001 came into force in Ireland in June 2001. This law has significantly changed the way sex offenders are treated by the criminal justice system in Ireland.
Those who are convicted of certain sexual offences are now obliged to provide certain information to the Gardaí including the address at which they are living following their release from prison.
While the term Sex Offenders Register is commonly used in Ireland, there is in fact no such register and the term is not included in any section of the Sex Offenders Act 2001.
The only information on the whereabouts of sex offenders in Ireland which is held centrally by the Gardaí is a certificate issued by the court in relation to those convicted by the court of sexual offences.
This certificate states that the convicted person is now subject to the requirements of the Sex Offenders Act, 2001.
The Garda Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Unit also receive a copy of the Sex Offenders Notification Form from the Garda station in whose area the sex offender resides.
This means that details of everyone subject to the requirements of the Sex Offenders Act 2001 are held centrally and these certificates are commonly known as the Sex Offenders Register.
Can I find out if a sex offender lives in my area?
No. The details held by the Gardaí in relation to those persons guilty of sex offences and who are subject to the requirements of the Sex Offenders Act 2001 are not subject to freedom of information legislation.
You are not entitled, therefore, to apply under the Freedom of Information Acts to find out details of sex offenders living in your area.
