Defenestration began in early 2007 between Joe H, James W, Maccy J and Ben S. After Mack quit before the first practice, Joe desperately asked fellow guitarist Lewis S to join the fold. Several practices later, they realised that Ben had not yet turned up to one. So they fired his sorry ass. In late 2007, Lewis decided that he wanted to pursue a career in the army (for which he still hasn't left) and so resigned leaving Joe and James to slog it out. In February of 2008, old friend and awesome guitarist Rich M joined. The band has been on the up ever since, writing and perfecting 3 songs in a matter of weeks (with more on the way.)
