Fishhook is an aspiring Christian Rock group that lives to spread the message that God has called His children to do both on and off the stage. Beginning as a church youth band three years ago, these four young men have evolved their talents in such ways as to develop a unique style of music that sparks interest in the ears of teenagers. Fishhook is; Eric Bivens, a youth pastor who is also an immensly talented vocalist and guitarist; Brandon Cox, a guitarist who always seeks to better himself both musically and spiritually; Dexter Payne, a solid drummer with inherent rhythm and a passion for Christ; and Sean Ralston, a down-to-earth bassist who possesses a keen ear and precise handwork and integrity. Fishhook's goal is to encourage youth to live the way God has called them to live. Fishhook appeals to fans of modern metal and hard rock music, keeping the same sound, but delivering a far different message. With so much negativity in the music industry today, Fishhook delivers a sound that is heavy and edgy, as is favored by most youth today, as well as conveying a positive message. From spiritual warfare to the love shown to us by Jesus Christ on the cross, Fishhook tells the great stories of our Savior's grace and love through song accompanied by crunching guitar riffs, attacking drums, and pounding bass lines that captivate anyone within hearing distance. Fishhook has recently recorded their debut album which released on Saturday Nov. 3, 2007. Keep checking regularly for concert dates where you can pick up a copy.
