About Me

Ugh. This is always such a loaded question... Relentlessly and unapologetically opinionated, I'm now on a rampage against Bush/Rove/Cheney et al and the campaign of fascism that's now overtaken our apathetic society. Though rightly sequestered in a totally blue state, I fantasize daily of moving permanently to France (TOTAL Francophile!) and leaving the entireity of this bull$hit behind. And no- not to go stalk Johnny Depp. (God's finest creation to date.) I've got no patience for lemmings, evangelical rhetoric, apathy or greed. I am endlessly inquisitive and always up for the next big adventure, whatever that happens to bring. (Hell-oooooo L.A.!!) Life is always better at the beach. ;)

My Interests

music, design, art, food, travel, film, celebrating democracy (or what's left of it) in this, our currently fascist country, learning more about pre-Christianity and everything Masonic, blah , blah, blah... Really, just doin' everything in my power to 'live the good life' as it were!

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who values truth, honesty, generosity and respect. And then there's Kelly Wearstler- the undisputed master(mistress) of interior design and an artist in her own right in L.A., Thomas Pheasant- a designer and man of extraordinary taste in D.C.... and you know what? After having met 'people' (read:famous) of all kinds, I've yet to meet Lisa Gerrard. I'd love to sit and share a bottle of wine with her! What City Do You Belong In?
You Belong in Paris
Stylish and a little sassy, you were meant for Paris.
The art, the fashion, the wine, the men!
Whether you're enjoying the cafe life or a beautiful park...
You'll love living in the most chic place on earth.

Forster, Roald Dahl, Madeline, Trixie Belden, Where the Wild Things Are, Auntie Mame, A.A. Milne, Thoreau, and all that is Masonic in background....

Heroes:

My grandparents, hands down. They taught me to walk with dignity- to hold my head high and treat this lifetime and others with respect and love. (AND they taught me the meaning of good taste and the importance of power tools, how could you ask for anything more????) Anybody brave enough to speak their mind honestly and respectfully, people who keep their word as their bond, and anyone who will stand up at all costs for the 'little guy' and people in need. Respect is everything to me.

I had a religious experience last night...

Well, after much ado about everything, I got a chance to experience the pure, unadulterated glee that is listening to Tom McRae.  *sigh*  I put headphones on at 1:00 in the morning and start...

I am beary, beary sad...

Maybe I'd be a little less sad if my mother hadn't given or thrown away my favorite childhood books, but this is definitely a terrible day for children of all ages everywhere... Now excuse me whilst I...
