The 70's were fun, and painful... Enough said. Had a 67 mustang, and got my first motorcycle (Honda 350).In the 80's, I was in the Air Force (1981 - 1987), in the Electronic Security Wing working at the National Security Agency (NSA). I ran, played lots of golf, rode in a cross state bike ride in Virginia (Bike Virginia II), got my associates degree, and my son was born. Got my 2nd motorcycle (Yamaha 400). I also had my first left knee surgery.In the 90's, I lived in NJ, did corporate computer work, took more college courses at Rutgers University, ran a marathon (Marine Corps marathon 1990), biked across Iowa (RAGBRAI 1993), got married (Shari - 1994). Then... another left knee surgery.In the 00's, I moved to SC, got layed off from the corporate world & then Thru hiked the Appalachian trail with a Wench (2172.6 miles from Georgia to Maine www.trailjournals.com/hotdog). Got my 3rd motorcycle (Honda Shadow Sabre 1100). sigh... also 2 more left knee surgeries, a left foot surgery, right foot surgery & a right shoulder surgery.Now I work retail, selling sporting goods and backpacking gear. Too many recent knee & foot surgeries have sidelined my outdoor activities for the time being, but I'm working on that. Doing some gym workouts & biking to strengthen my knees, drinking good beer. Rode part of RAGBRAI (Registers Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) this year (2008) and only crashed once. Life is Good!
