First Kentucky Post began as a concept record involving a four-string acoustic guitar and an aborted novella whose narrative thrust lay in the protagonist's un-answered/un-sent letters. Like the novella, the song cycle never panned out, but the name stuck - becoming the moniker I would tie to my four-track and loop-based experiments.
There is no overriding musical aesthetic to First Kentucky Post other than the songs tend to be rather crude home recordings. The songs are both quiet and noisy, regimented and atmospheric, sound collages... whatever sounds and melodies fascinate me at the moment. Most of the things posted here will be recent and are rarely anything more than passing fancies. Some of them might see there way to an actual release while others will exist only for themselves. Regardless, I hope you find them worth your while.
