The raw and organic oriented sounds from Moss of Ancient's is captured using analog tape and various effects processing via pedals and boxes of beauty. The collection of sounds range from acoustic instrumentation, lo-fi sampling of the artist's instruments, and field recording. An ear for the aesthetic of abstraction, psychedelic folk, and an appreciation for minimalistic moments in time are all present within the flux of creation.
Moss of Ancient's live happenings range from audio only experiences to multi sensory stimulae. An emphasis is placed upon movement/dance, installation, sound/music, site specific works and the element of CHANCE. Often questioning what performance based art is in contemporary society, many of Moss of Ancient's intentions embrace performance as rites of passage, ritual, transcendence and healing.
