Born in Memphis, Tennessee on September 28, 1995, Michaella is a musical-prodigy and young sister of Texas recording artist Jennifer Grassman.
For the last two years, Michaella has been composing beautiful and ornate piano and vocal songs to be featured on her first album, which will be released Fall 2008.
Michaella's first song ever recorded was an instrumental piece entitled, Michaella's Song, and it is featured on her older sister's debut album, At The Back Of The North Wind (2007, TLM Productions).
This June, Michaella will be spending most of her time at the piano and in the studio recording her own debut album. It will feature six original songs performed by Michaella herself.
Michaella's music is haunting, exotic, and elegant. Listeners will find her music reminiscent of Loreena McKennit, Enya, Tori Amos, Eimear Quinn, Moya Brennan, or Emiliana Torrini, and her lyrics evocative of such respected poets as Emily Dickinson, The Brontë Sisters, and Edgar Allen Poe.
