About Me

- this new multi-ethnic choir has Anita Daulne at the helm. Her music is an exciting blend of urban and ethnic influences - unusual and uplifting, using lots of polyphony, rhythm, harmony and movement.

Anita is very well known around Europe as a founding member of the Belgium group Zap Mama (see www.zampmama.be). Her techniques are learnt from her travels around Africa and her childhood in the Congo.

It has long been her ambition to start an Oxford choir singing a blend of urban and ethnic tunes with many of her own compositions as the basis.

Funded by the National Lottery through Awards for All and the Oxford City Council.
