It's another year at the United States Naval Academy for me. Two years at the Naval Academy are over... two more to go. I hope to graduate a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps.
I was back at school being a pistol coach over the summer; teaching the incoming freshmen how to "kill" using the M9 Beretta during their "Plebe Summer." Definitely got to do some cool things. We shot M4's with 4x zoom scopes and unloaded the MP5's on full auto at metal silhouettes. Spent some fun times in the sun the past couple of weekends (I got up on water skis!) and met some really cool people. Other than that, the 5 to 5 days are long, hot/muggy, and very draining.Last summer was a little trickier than others. We've grown up a bit. Most have apartments, so they weren't home as often. It'll be different from now on. Let's just try to live it up now before it changes too much and friendships are stretched too far.
