Each Thursday evening (beginner through advanced level) accoustic musicians alike congregate at the ground floor of the Andy Griffith Playhouse for an open jam session, emceed by Tim Chadwick. Regular listeners, as well as first-time visitors, come to enjoy the music and/or dance. Other jams break off outside and jam in the courtyard or parking area for aditional picking and singing. Snacks are available from vending machines. The Andy Griffith Playhouse is located at 218 Rockford St., Mount Airy North Carolina. Bring your instrument and join the picking.
