Peppe Sannino

Sono nato a Cercola (Na) il 05/11/1959, ho cominciato a dedicarmi allo studio delle percussioni all'eta di 15 anni; nel 1982 ho conseguito il Diploma di Solfeggio e Teoria Musicale presso il Conservatorio "Cimarosa" di Avellino.Nel 1985 ho studiato percussioni brasiliane a Toronto (Canada) con il maestro Larry Borg ( Steve Wonder), nel 1988 a New York con il maestro John Amira,ed a Roma,con il maestro R.Evangelista percussioni caraibiche ed afrocubane.Da anni abbino una intensa attivita didattica a collaborazioni con i maggiori nomi della musica italiana. Nel 1998 ho fondato il "Peppe Sannino Latin Jazz quintet" , band che si propone proprio la diffusione dei ritmi afrocubani innestati su un linguaggio piu squisitamente nero-americano (Latin Jazz). Attualmente collaboro con l'Orchestra Italiana di Renzo Arbore,(da parecchi anni ormai), con l'Orchestra NapoliOpera e con i Popularia. Dal 1997 sono endorser della UFIP, dal 2002 della ROLL e dal 2006 della MEINL. In 1985 i studied Brasilian percussions in Toronto whith the “Maestro” Larry Borg, in 1988 in New York whith the “maestro” John, and in Rome whith the “Maestro” R. Evangelista. I studied caribbean and afrocuban percussions. For Years i have been combining my teaching activity to collaboration whith the best names of italian music. In 1998 i founded the “P.S.L.J. Quintet”; The band ainy at the speading of Afro Cuban rithms together with a purely Black American music. At present i collaborate with “Renzo Arbore's” Italian Orchestra whith the “Napoli Opera” Orchestra and with the “Popularia” band.
