Heroes get remembered and legends never die. Follow your heart and you can never go wrong - The Sand

About Me

I was born and raised in the greatest place on earth: the motherfuckin San Francisco Bay Area. If ya don't know, you'd better ask somebody. I love baseball. I love music. I like Old Chevrolets. I like politics. I like building shit. I like destroying shit. I like 32-ounce bottles of Miller High Life. I like pretzels. I like my home-state. I love my brother and sister. I like driving Humvees very fast through stop-and-go traffic on narrow roads in a fucked-up country. I also like collecting die-cast model cars (preferably 1:18 scale). As far as paying the bills go, I'm currently employed by the US Army. I'm stationed out here in the hardly-bearable place we call Fort Campbell, Kentucky. And no, I don't kick down doors or sit in a guard tower all day. I'm actually a satellite imagery analyst. 'Tis some good shit. I'd recommend the Army to any person who's looking for a life-changing experience. Since I enlisted, I've seen every corner of the United States and I've had the privilege of helping fight the war in Iraq. But yah, I'm ready to start the rest of my life and I'll be returning to The Golden State when my times up in October, 2007. Stay tuned...

My Interests

I'm a huge sports fan: I'm pretty obsessed with the Oakland A's, as you may or may not already now. I'm a SF 49ers fan, but they've been sucking for the last few years, so I spare myself the shame and just read about the games on Monday morning. I'm also a lover of music: I'm a big underground hip-hop head. Fuck Hip-Pop and all the lame shit you hear on the radio over and over. Appreciating independent music runs in my blood with my brother and dad each being supporters of Reggae and Blues, respectively. My sister listens to Christina Aguilera and Death Cab for Cutie so we're not sure where we went wrong, haha. I have an XBOX360 which technically maked me 'interested' in it, right?

I'd like to meet:

This is an awkward question. I can't envision what I would say to Rush Limbaugh if I ever met him. I would just say, "Hey, I'm a fan of the show. Keep it up." It's not like I would sit there and talk shit about liberals (even though I would get a kick out of that). So yah, I'd like to meet some of my political idols: Rush, Pat Buchanan, and Newt Gingrich. Even though my personal views may differ with them on some key issues, I do admire their quest to make this country the best country that it can be. Together, we can! Haha.I'm a huge A's fan so I'd also probably have an enjoyable time meeting them. I'd tell them how I bought a subscription to mlb.com so I could watch A's games when I was deployed to Iraq. Maybe they'd feel sorry for me and give me $100 for the cost of the subscription and maybe throw in a ticket or two.

Music:

I wake up to music. I go to sleep to music. Music is fucking awesome. It still amazes me that we can put sound into a plastic disc and play it whenever we want. I try to go out to music shows whenever possible. I just have to work on not getting too excited/anxious and drinking so much that I'm not able to appreciate the good time. Next time. UPDATE: Now I have to work on not getting kicked out of shows because I pushed a dumb bitch in the chest when she pushed my brother away from the front row of a Zion I & Grouch show. Yah, so that got me kicked out. Fuck 'em.Like I said earlier, I'm a lover of music in general, but independent/underground hip-hop is my favorite. I also like blues (Stevie Ray and BB King), classic rock (Led Zeppelin and The Doors), and reggae (Augustus Pablo).

Movies:

Boondock Saints (don't fuck with the Irish!), Se7en, Saving Silverman, Blazing Saddles, History of the World Part I, Cheech & Chong Movies, Johnny Depp (only movies where he does drugs), American History X, Rounders, The Newton Boys

Books:

I hate fiction. If i'm gonna set time aside to read something, I'm going to learn something. If I want to be told a story, I'll watch a movie.Details of my non-fiction endeavors: I'm having a hard time setting time aside to read in my life, especially with all the electronics I choose to surround myself with.

Heroes:

My heroes are those that think outside the box and try and change the world for the better. It matters not whether it's Bill Gates donating billions of dollars to charity or an elementary school teacher trying to make a difference in children's lives. We all have a common goal of a healthy, beer-drinking, and peaceful world and there are many 'heroes' working on this attainable goal, even as you read this. I salute you, Mr. Healthy, Beer-Drinking, and Peaceful World Achieeeeeeever. Sing it.

Money makes your world go round - and it's no surprise that you always vote your wallet. You're financially successful (or plan to be), and your agenda is low tax and pro business. You don't get fired up about abortion... but mention capital gains tax, and you go crazy. You want government to be as small as possible - and to stay out of the way of business.
