APoLo "La Revolution" release in thailand for kitsch cat vol.1
Kitsch Cat project 2008 proudly presents Cyndi Seui, Yuri's Nominee, Gramaphone Children, Stargazer, D.J.C.S.P and Apolo, all of whom attain a similar interest for original, cutting-edge sounds that has ultimately created an itch among its members to pave new ground within Thailand's electronic scene.
The compilation is a mix of pure, uncut inspiration with slices of passion peppered with a nostalgic longing for civilization's unforgotten 80s. Influences from the world of 8bit video games, vinyl toys, Rubik's cubes, calculator watches, spandex, Velcro and all things sassy, childlike and kitsch has managed to intertwine itself into a unique cacophony of sound.
This particular compilation will of course evolve alongside the human species and may turn into the unexpected. However, there will be a predominant theme among each artist as we, as a human species, must evolve together.
But what glues the entire album together is their sense of pop; and no, not in the Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake sense, but more along the lines of “ahhh, I understand what their doing!”.
