Born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, Jayne Balogun grew up in an environment surrounded by music and soon developed a passion for the art. Having been raised in a Christian household, her passion for music was nurtured from a young age by her involvement in gospel music. By age 11 the young talent developed a passion for writing her own music, and soon grabbed the attention of her elementary school music teacher. As a young musician, developing her talents seemed effortless as she began participating in local talent shows, and singing contests throughout the Edmonton area. It wasn't until she was in her late teens that she decided to pursue music professionally.By 2001 she had already been introduced to a number of recording studios within Edmonton and soon became known as a talented vocalist, displaying her talents on tracks for a local hip hop group, Peepgame. Jayne's extraordinary ability to arrange vocals and harmonies soon enabled her to establish a name for herself within the local scene, that name being Jaynedoe. The local exposure she received from the Edmonton area propelled her drive and determination to distinguish herself as a talented singer/songwriter. Jayne later began her musical studies in 2006 and is still currently enrolled in the Alberta College Conservatory of Music where she is receiving instruction from vocal instructor Taylene Lyon. Jayne was also introduced to the teachings of Robert Klakowich, where she studies aural theory, sight singing, as well as both rhythmic and melodic dictation. With the release of her first solo album entitled R&B For The Streets, Jayndoe is sure to take on the music world, as she continues to prepare for the journey that lies ahead.
