Hi! I'm Darlene a/k/a Dolly! I'm 45 yrs. old and today is the first day of the rest of my life! I'm also a single mom of two teenage daughters (one is 18 and the other is 14). My 18 yr. old graduated with honors and no longer stays at home while my 14 yr. old is living with her Dad so that she could go to a different school. For the first time in FOREVER I'm literally a Free Girl Now and am doing all I can to take advantage of this new found freedom!I gave up watching tv on New Year's Eve 2001 and to this day I can say I haven't really missed it. For a way to past time on those days I have nothing to do, I listen to music. I LOVE MUSIC...all music. I can listen to classical just as easy as I can listen to Rock 'n Roll. I love the new age music and on any given day you may find me dancing the day away to Techno. If I had to choose which flavor of tunes I like best, I'm not sure I could. It really depends on my mood. However, not the same applies to picking a favorite group or singer. Hands down, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are my pick! So much so that I'm a member of the official fan club and a member of The Honeybees. I never miss a concert when they come to town and on a couple of occasions I've traveled out of town to see a show as "a guest of the band." I've never met Tom up close and personal but I recently met his wife, Dana! She's absolutely the best and has done so much for the fans...she really looks out for us!Being the music nut that I am has evolved into me being Dolly the Groupie! I met a Roadie at a Moody Blues show last year and have since been to more concerts than I ever dreamed I'd go! I've had the opportunity of meeting several rockers and if I'm really lucky, I usually go home with a picture, an autograph, and always a guitar pic! I love going to these shows and its espcially fun being behind the scenes! It takes a lot of work to put on these productions and I'm learning all I can about it. I'm hoping to one day be able to work in the music industry...that's my dream!I'm a Sagittarian born on Thanksgiving Day 1958 and like most born under this sign, I'm happy-go-lucky, not a care in the world sorta gal! I love to laugh and can usually find humor in any situation or crisis. I'm very outgoing and I know no strangers...I could start a conversation with just about anyone! And, last but not least, I am very spiritual. About two years ago I discovered the book "The Road Less Traveled." That book changed my life and I recommend it highly. I'm never alone because I know the Lord is always present and spending time learning about me and who I am is a high priority. So, I am in search of self as it does take time to fine tune one's soul! :)
