* In the 60's my sisters performed with a group called"Thee Flurtations". Here are a few song clips to listen to. They also worked with Roy Marcus who at one time was a member of Thee Midniters fea.Willie G. Do you remember The East Side Review LP ? Thee Flurtations performed The Washing Machine.They won many Battle of The Bands. Many famous names came out of that era: "Lil'Willie G" of Thee Midniters,Rudy and Steve Salas, now known as TIERRA.The Sisters featuring Urse(from El Chicano). Bobby Espinoza(may he rest in peace) and Mickey Lespron from El Chicano.Did you know that Mickey was also in the group:The Premiers,their hit song;Farmer John. HE DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT.BLACK FRANK(nick named), last name "Estrada" PLAYED TENOR SAX .AND OF COURSE ARMAND CRUZ(RIP) PLAYING BARI-SAX. Robert Alvarez PLAYED THE VIBES ,TROMBONE &(keys). They WON many BATTLE OF THE BANDS BACK IN the DAYS. THE TROPHY WAS ONLY ONE OF many.Thee Flurtations played: SHRINE-PALADIUM-LONG BEACH CONVENTION CENTER- GREAT WESTERN- ELAC COLLEGE- 2 TIMES AT THE SANTA MONICA PIER. FRANK VALENCIA WAS THE BASS PLAYER- Rudy CASTANON-SINGER. (Also Nacho sang breifly with them)The original guitar player was Leonard Mineses, and ,managers of the Band,Al & Rachel Alvarez.(RIP) --- ,,..,,
