The Runaway

Hello,
My name's Alex. It seems like the done thing these days is to write a review or overview of the band in third person, so that's what I'll do.
The Runaway is the collective name for two boys and two girls. The boys both have brown hair of differing lengths and the girls have blonde hair, with one having longer hair than the other.
Every once in a while, The Runaway will gather, usually in Alex's bedroom, to write songs that hopefully have some poignance and a sense of story telling. They wield a variety of instruments in a variety of ways, upside down and back to front or just as the majority of people would play them. Sometimes they swap around, sometimes not.
The Runaway has two vocalists, Katy and Alex. One sings high, the other sings low and can sing high, but leaves that to the other. They're both from Yorkshire but live in Cardiff.
Trying to echo the sounds of artists they admire whilst not being a carbon copy, The Runaway hope to create music that people can relate to and hopefully, make it nice to listen to too.

You hide behind a sense of urgency and I'd like to leave this place.
A false call of emergencies won't save you any face.
Trapped here inside, this room won't lend me any warmth.
Fear takes a hold, when you turn I'll leave this place and run.
Outside, the rain falls down.
Tonight there's nothing left for me to do but watch the rain fall here.
The words have more meaning when I can discern the letters that form them, the meanings they've earned.
A sigh can hold more than a scream from the top of your lungs.
Flee to the outside, I'll find salvation in the cold.
I don't need false hope, I need a reason to run.
