Green Sea Floyds

About Me

Founding member Eddie O. made headlines decades ago when it was discovered that he was raised by a group of sea otters among the tidal pools of the little known country of Baldoria. Adopted by a family of circus people, Eddie would go on to serve his country in the Cheese War of 1978. Dissidents had vowed to overtake the country and force its citizens to change from cheddar to velveeta. Eddie O. led the 102nd paratrooper division, known as the "Fightin' Opats" against these revolutionaries(" clowns," Eddie O. called them but then " that would be an insult to real clowns".) In one instance Eddie O., along with his son, explosives expert Alex Opatrny and his daughter, the machine gun toting Ali K, rescued a small town of little people from the tyranny of those velveeta dictators. After the war, Eddie O. wasted no time in plotting his next move. He sold off his collection of Farrah Fawcett- Majors posters( admittedly he kept one- "She's dear to me," he said sadly) and used that money to buy music and recording equipment. Along with Alex and Ali K they would form-- THE NEXT BIG THING( ok., maybe medium sized.) Soon to join them was Eddie's niece, Hopey, a former NASA engineer who perfected the next generation of O- rings for the space shuttle program before deciding that playing keyboards in a rock n' roll band was a safer bet. - the Green Sea Floyds are the only band ever to have been kicked off a Rolling Stones tour BEFORE having been asked to join... - been kicked off the stage at Madison Square Garden when they all looked at each other and realized they FORGOT to aquire a drummer... - been to Europe, got lost, somehow made it back to what they thought was Cleveland in the middle of January only to realize that their plane landed in Iceland...-------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- The Green Sea Floyds are a family band consisting of Eddie O.(father), Alex Opatrny(son), Ali K(daughter), and Hope Severa(niece). Formed in 2007 outside of Cleveland,Ohio, the band has released 3 cd singles. Each one contains 3 or 4 songs which they describe as 'rock n roll'. They hope to play out live in the near future and for now will write and record songs " the way they used to..."
