THE HONEYCOMBS, London, UK (1964-1967)
Color Slide (1964, Pye Records)

The Sheratons was playing at the Milmay tavern (London) when Ken Howard and Alan Blaikley ( Elvis Presley and Petula Clark's writers) liked what they saw and present them to the producer Joe Meek, in his studio in Holloway Road. They renamed themselves " The Honeycombs", a mixture between the profession of Martin Murray (Lead guitar), who was haidresser, and the name of the drummer, Honey Lantree, his assistant. Their record took off in 1964. "Have I Right?" was number one in the UK and number five in the US. In 1966, The Honeycombs changed their name in The New Honeycombs, with another line up.

THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHT
Shake (1969, Super K Records)

Formed in 1964, The Shadows changed their name in The Shadows of Knight in 1965, because there was a prexisting Englich group of that name. "Shadows of Knight" to tie into the English invasion in music, and because the band members went to Prospect High School in Mt Prospect, Illinois, whose team name was "knights". In 1964 and 1965, they attracted over 500 teenagers every Saturday and Sunday at the Cellar, a teen nightclub in Arlington Height, and then, supported The Byrds in early summer 1965. At this occasion, they attracted Bill Traud and George Badonski, Dunwich Records' producers. Their first record was Gloria (Them, Van morrison). The "Back Door Men" LP was recorded in summer 1966, included "Oh Yeah" and "I'm Gonna Make You Mine" which can be seen as precursor to Hard Rock, but unfortunately didn't approach their initial commercial success. 3Shake", recorded in 1969, is the result to a more commercial orientation by the Super K record label.

THE TROGGS
Lost Girl

The Troggs formed in 1964 and were signed by the manager of the Kinks, Larry Page in 1965. Their most famous hit is the single "Wild Thing" (Chip Taylor).
Lost Girl is the band's first single, with its b-side, "The Yella in Me". It was released on the CBS Label before Larry Page gained The Troggs a two single Fontana deal. This track is one of the most powerfull thanks to a driving bass riff and crazy guitar solo.

DANYEL GERARD
Sexologie

Danyel Gérard was one of the first French Rock'N'Roll singers. His first record is "D'où reviens tu Billie Boy?".
I, 1962, He was declared as King of Twist, and supported Les Fantômes, Les Dangers's and Les Champions.
He made a label, Dany Music, and came back in 1969, bearded, with a hat, and recorded "Sexologie".

MESSIEURS RICHARD DE BORDEAUX ET DANIEL BERETTA
Lucien

Daniel Beretta was 3 years old when he began to learn music theory and piano. In 1964, he started the TV class "Le petit conservatoire" for 3 years, with Henri Tisot and Mireille, where he met Richard de Bordeaux. They began a duet and played in cabarets, and finally twice at Olympia.
Paul Mc Cartney wrote him a song, "My Love" in 1973.
Richard de Bordeaux, then, made music tracks for cartoons.

TINY TIM
Tip Toe Through the Tulips

Singer, ukulele player and music archivist, Tiny Tim was famous for his distinctive high falsetto/vibrato voice.
His first TV apparition was in "Rowan and Martin's Laugh In" where he performed "Tip Toe Through The Tulips" to Dick Martin, and then signed a contract with Reprise Records.
In 1968, he recorded his first album, "God Bless Tiny Tim", contained an orchestrated version of his signature song "Tip Toe Through the Tulips", the single. On one track, he performed a version of "I got You Babe", sang a duet with himself (one part in falsetto, the other in the baritone range).
George Harrison appreciated Tiny Tim, who appeared on the Beatles' 1968 Chistmas Record and performed "Nowhere Man".
