The story of Process Paths started as a noncommittal jam-session in the early days of September 2005. In the line-up Sidney Koenig (gtr), Theo Touloupis (bg), Peter Miñoza (voc) and André Spickhoff the foursome sallied out into its musical inspirations. After six weeks of playing, and starting to gain an own interpretation of Heavy Metal, it was distinguishable that they had to found their own band. On November 25th they officially joined as Process Paths in a small pub named Arte Café, Menden.
The year 2006 started with the awareness a second guitarist was necessary. In the beginning of April this position was filled by bassist Theo Touloupis, who as well started to play guitar a couple of years before, when Jeffrey Koenig took on the bass with Process Paths. From September 2006 to February 2007 the band played their first gigs successfully. Studio recordings were scheduled for March 2007 but a relocation of their rehearsal room and a pneumonia of their frontman forced the band to desist from their intentions.
A shock indeed afflicted Process Paths on March 10th when Sidney Koenig disclosed to deboard from the group. It was Markus Kopetsch, a former member of Strange X-Perience, who turned out to be the needle in a haystack. A guitar-player of nearly fifteen years experience, he was tarred with the same brush as the guys of Process Paths. After their first common session on April 7th he joined the band.
Revived and full of new inspirations the band recorded their first demo »Caught In The Poet's World« in July 2007, and played some successful live-show during the next following months.
»Seasons Of Glass«, their first EP was recorded during January 2008. Produced by Nils Bonk of Roots-Records, Process Paths now released five songs of finest material which reflect their creative period of 2007. (Available February 2008)
