Fabrizio Fiore Born in Naples on July 17th, 1964 • In the 1970s Fabrizio starts off playing the drums and the guitar with several bands while keeping track of the dawn of the disk jockey becoming one in 1976 after the success of the movie Saturday Night Fever where for the first time ever the magic of disco is shown on the screens. • He’s been working as a DJ since 1977 in numerous clubs in Italy among which Blues & Blues in Naples, Metropolis in Caserta, Havana Club in Pozzuoli, Cormorano in Caprera, Tamatoa in Ischia, Michelemmà in Pozzuoli, Pascià in Riccione, Acqua Disco Village in Ancona, Factory in Milan, Mephisto in Naples and hundreds of one nights around the country. • In the 1980s he produces a few pleasant musical project among which a RMX of Edie Brickell’s “What I am” which sold more than 100,000 records in Europe, positioning at 1 in the British charts for several weeks. • 1987-1990: Fabrizio works as music sales consultant for Flying Records. • 1991: He works as DJ in London at SW1 at Victoria Station for a few months. • 1995-1997: Musical programmer at Kiss Kiss Network, one of the top 10 most popular radio networks in Italy. He produces Kiss Kiss Vibes with Gianni Simioli and Nino Mazzarino, a programme which involves him in the choice of the music every night from 10 to 12:30 on air on Kiss Kiss. • In April 1996 he assembles a compilation called Kiss Kiss Vibes for GRP/MCA, which presents artists such as George Benson, Soul for Real, Maysa, George Howard, Groove Collective and many more. • In October 1996 Kiss Kiss Vibes is nominated as best radio music programme. • He produces RMX for some Italian labels such as Network’s, Flying Records, Best Sound, Family Affair, Soul Trade, Emi and Sugar, producing pieces for artists like Ridillo, Edie Brickell, Shaun Escoufery, Elisabeth Troy, Flabby and many more. • 1996-1997 He writes articles on music and trends for magazines such as Max and Tutto Dance. • From January to July 1997 he works as music programmer and DJ at Radio Norba where he presents Direttiva 133 every night at 11:00 with Nino Mazzarino, a programme which blends Trip Hop, Abstract Jazz, Jungle, Soul and so on. • In February 1997 he founds a musical project called Flabby with Rosario Pellecchia and Andrea De Sabato. This lounge group produces two albums: Modern Tunes for Everybody and Limoncello Experience. Thanks to the success of Mambo Italiano, their first album released in over 20 countries (Japan, Canada, Greece, Poland, Hungary and others) sells over 50,000 copies. • In 1998 he assembles two collections of cocktail lounge music called Aperitivo volume one and two, published in Italy and other countries such as Japan, the U.S.A. and Germany. • In September 1999 he deejays parties for Calvin Klein’s advertising campaigns and CK Jeans Fall/Winter collection ’99, in the Italian flagship store in Milan. • In the summer of 2000 he goes back to the radio, this time for Rai Radio Uno. The programme “Consigli per gli Acquisti” on air every Sunday afternoon at 1:30 from July 2nd to September 24th, sees him as both author, music programmer and speaker. Sailing the seas on their virtual sailboat, Fabrizio along with Lillo Perri host celebrities somehow connected to advertisements, TV, radio or communication in general on every show. • In October 2000 he deejays for Calvin Klein’s presentation of men and women Fall/Winter collections during the parties planned in the stores in Milan, Rome, Turin, Bologna, Catania and Madrid. • June – September 2001 and 2002 he returns to the consolle. La Piscina Solari in Milan fashions the trendiest Happy Hour of the summer. Every evening, music, drinks and the mellow ‘60s style sofas perfectly decorate this open-air garden. • In 2002 he is chosen to deejay a party for Goldman Sachs organised on May 30th at the Chiostri Umanitaria in Milan. • In June 2002 he teams up with Flabby again to work on a new project together after a two-year break. • 2002-2003 he assembles three compilations of nu jazz music and electro lounge for the fashion label John Ross. The project is photographed by Salvio Parisi. • In 2005 Fabrizio creates a 6 CD box with his eccentric friend Banjo to celebrate his 25-year professional disk jockey career, a work which summarises all the music styles that he had played on his consolle since the ‘70s in the most prestigious European clubs. This journey through sounds, images and words that represent the most important moments of his musical background is published in limited edition. • Since 2005 Fabrizio has been producing music in his own name, working with prestigious Italian jazz players. • His personal collection counts up to 30,000 records and CDs of various music styles. • He’s currently recording the songs of his first solo album, which will be performed by Lu Heredia and her marvellous voice and many other features as well. Its release is due for next year.Actually he's working as DJ with his eclettic sound based on Nu Jazz and Disco House tunes called "QUATTROQUARTI" one night at mounth at Piano Piano in Naples & freelance-club in Milano.
