False representation and Xeroxed ideas sparked madizms, perpetuating the emergence of Skoold In Korectnuss (SIKNUSS) in 2002, a design philosophy fostered by early underground culture; comprised of a clothing line and creative consulting division. Founded by Patrick Y, during his second year studies at University of Toronto in a 10 by 5 foot dorm and still without any formal training in the arts; he believes art techniques can be studied in art schools, but you just end up looking like the next guy, With a Canon SLR he developed a skill for photography and later experimented with graphic illustrations on bootlegged imaging programs. The emergence of commercialism in hip hop strenghthened themes represented by earlier styles characterized by legends such as KRS-1. The graphic designs thus take us back to a time when underground culture had soul, an untainted character, everything was fresh and innovative, styles were defined, reps were paid by dues not paper, and creativity reigned supreme. Skoold In Korectnuss design is currently involved in multiple apparel and graphic design projects with high profile clients such as Stussy, Undefeated L.A., Situationnormal L.A. and Heir to the Throne Hong Kong.
