Clarice Cast is a native of São Paulo, Brazil, Clarice studied percussion at one of Brazil's most elite musical conservatories before relocating to Chicago to study percussion at Northern Illinois University as a percussion performance major taking lesson with Robert Chappell and Greg Beyer, where she is also the accompanist for modern dance classes. Clarice teaches Brazilian percussion and Afro-Brazilian rhythms to aspiring percussionists of all ages and plays with several area Brazilian music bands.
