The Lily Pond Orchestra

About Me

The Lily Pond Orchestra is more of an idea rather than a thing... It's named for a LOVELY spot in Massachusetts. There are no missing ships or unexplainable disappearances... just frogs and turtles, birds and squirrels and assorted other shy critters. It's place for contemplation...I have been composing and playing music for what seems a lifetime. Being a survivor of the "Rock 'n Roll WARS' of the 70's-80's-90's, I count myself fortunate to having NOT descended into complete apathy with music... so I keep my day job out of necessity... It took a while for me to understand the difference between music and the music business... I am at peace with it all.Yes, of course, the music is performed with various tools, such as samplers, and other synths - I compose, arrange, and do whatever else is necessary to get the sounds into a tangible form to share, and they never seem to come out as I had originally "heard" them... All matter/energy vibrates - it's a omniverse of music and sometimes we are lucky enough to tap into a tiny stream. Sing YOUR song and share your love, your music, weave a new world with it! - after all, Love songs are the best of all!PS... CD BABY has my new release, "Pluto's Melancholy... music from a dismissed planet", in the NEW AGE section. It's a 2 volume thing as I simply had too much stuff for one... And MP3's, both singular and collective, are available from many sources (itunes - amazon - etc). Much more to come! There is also a SHOUTCAST stream, under the title of the LILY POND ORCHESTRA (how convenient...) that plays all my older material... feedback is encouraged...and a NEW release due within a few weeks!UPDATE: On The Wings of a Dragonfly is NOW at CD BABY!

Paul Revere and the Raiders - Rock n Roll Hall of Fame

Marginal at best... yet like the Magpies we are, we get sucked into the shallow self-serving glittering thing... Jethro Tull... Heavy metal?  Anyway... these flaws aside, I was surprised to find...
