Pelagia

With haunting, melodic vocals over screaming guitar riffs, Pelagia rearranges the best of Hard Rock, Metal, Punk, and Pop to form harmonic, yet hard-hitting music.
Pelagia began in 2004, and built a strong following in their New Jersey/New York City circuit. Over the next 3 years, the band self-produced 2 records; "Machines & Melodies", and "A Well-planned Coincidence".
In 2006, the band swept through to the North American Finals of the international music competition, the Emergenza Festival, surpassing the bulk of over 5,000 bands. Pelagia remains the only band to have made it to the final round of the competition for two consecutive years. This past year, they received the most audience votes over any band in the country, and earned the fourth highest number of votes in the world.
At the end of 2007 the band took a break to work with accredited producer Tim Gilles (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday) on a 4-song untitled EP. And in the summer of 2008 the band released their highly-demanded single "Dirty".
