By 12, He was already playing drums with the city music band of his native Coamo.By 15, He was playing alto sax. At the age of 19, following his grandparents and his dad steps, He joined the United States Army, where He served proudly for 3 years. This commitment took him from Puerto Rico to Oklahoma. From there, He then moved to Texas where He stayed for a couple of months.Next stop South Carolina and ending up in Germany to finish serving his tour. In 2003, He went back to Puerto Rico where He got to meet Manuel "Boywonder" Ruiz who was working on a reggaeton project under the name of "Pocos Elegidos". They got together and He became Chosen Few's A&R, creating the compilation that ended up with the name:"Chosen Few:El Documental".This album sold over 400,000 copies around the world. During the time they've worked together,Juanchy aquired a extensive experience and knowledge of the music industry getting to know some of the most important names in the Latin Urban Market. Feeling confident, Juanchy,in association with his lifetime friend and producer Luis "Genius" Reyes, established his own Record Label under the name of "Unik Records" In 2006, Juanchy moved to Los Angeles,California, to expand the company. He meet Robert "Bachatito" Hernandez, owner and C.E.O. of what would become Juanchy's new home: Yomando Records. Hired as a producer,He became the main engineer and right now,He is Yomando Records Vice-President and Executive Musical Producer. (No walk-ins please.)PoliciesNo masters or copies can leave the studio until all time used is paid for in full according to terms. No checks accepted without approval. No deposit required for Editing sessions (unless prior missed appointment). Deposits will be credited upon payment of your final balance when the project is completed. If you show up more than 20 minutes late without sufficient notice, your appointment may be rescheduled and you may lose your initial deposit, unless you agree to pay for the time that has accrued since the scheduled start time in order to proceed with the recording.Hours are always rounded upward to the nearest 1/4 hour increment.Please do not arrive more than 10-15 minutes early, or you may interrupt a scheduled session in progress.MASTERS: We can backup your music from our hard drives to CD or DVD when your project is finished. There are three different types of Masters:•Stereo Master Mix Audio CD: This is what you take to the Duplication Plant. (Similar to a DAT, or a 2-track stereo reel-to-reel.)•Multi-Track Master Data DVD's: These contains your original individual music tracks, still in 24-bit DATA format. (Similar to a set of ADAT tapes, or a reel of 24-track analog tape.) Without the Multi-Track Master, no further changes or variations of the mix can be made to future copies of your music files. We do not archive or maintain files of finished projects.•Stereo Master Mix DATA CD: This contains the Stereo Master Mix, still in DATA format so that if the master Audio CD gets lost or damaged and needs to be replaced, we can make you a new one of the same quality (a new one can be made from either the DVD's or a DATA CD).You will always get a Stereo Master Mix Audio CD upon completing your project. The Stereo Master Mix DATA CD and the Multi-Track Master Data DVD's are optional.The cost to make a Stereo Master Mix DATA CD is minimal; typically about an hour or less. The cost to make the DVD's depends on the size of the project, which determines the time and materials required. Most 12-song projects fall in the 10 gig range, which costs $175 labor plus materials. Uncommonly big projects may be slightly higher.
