Matthew's versatility has been employed by a variety of artists throughout the state of California. From jazz to fusion, funk to rock, country to gospel and even Latin, Matthew covers it all. In Los Angeles, Matthew has been involved in many recording sessions for Ferenci Music where he is able to record radio jingles as well as fully published works to be sold around the world. Matthew has been mentored by some of the greatest drummers in the world which have contributed to his extreme versatility and professional outlook in the music industry. While studying with professional musicians like Zoro (Lenny Kravitz, Bobby Brown, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, famed author and clinician) and currently Russ Miller (Ray Charles, Cher, Natalie Cole, Tina Turner, Bobby Caldwell, Andrea Bocelli, Nelly Furtado, Al Jarreau, Hilary Duff). Matthew has been able to elevate his playing and understanding the role of a drummer in the music industry to the highest level. During this time, Matthew has developed both as an incredibly versatile stylist as well as a sharp businessman in the music industry. As a recording artist, he has been able to support and serve many tracks in various sessions in the Los Angeles area. As an educator, Matthew is an assistant instructor for music programs in his areas well as a highly sought after private instructor. He has also received nationwide recognition through the Louie Armstrong Award for Jazz and received high honors in the nationwide Guitar Center Drum Off.
