Mighty Moe's career started in 6th grade, where he got the opportunity of a lifetime, when the Abell Foundation, a local non-profit organization, sent a group of inner city youth to the Baraka School for boys in Laikipa, Kenya. In 2001 Mighty Moe went to live at the boarding school in Kenya for 2 years. While there he turned to rap music to help with being away from home and starting rapping while not in class and eventually, the other boys would follow suit and started rapping and holding their own battles to help pass the time. Due to the success of this campaign, it would later be turned into a movie titled The Boys of Baraka. MIGHTY Moe is now an international youth chairman of the Baraka Alumni. Mighty Moe tested his skills on 92Q a Baltimore radio station, when he entered the “92Q Rap Battle Freestyle contest, Hosted by DJ K-Swift and Squalwide fighting the best freestyle rappers in Baltimore, DC, VA, and NY. Mighty Moe became the youngest 92Q champion in the station’s history and retired on his 16th birthday, where 5 weeks of consecutive wins are necessary for retirement. Mighty Moe than turned his sights to HBO’s hit television series "The Wire", where he played "Spider Johnson" on seasons 3, 4 and 5. He remains an active member of the Screen Actors Guild as acting and rapping became his routine. . He then started working with well known and respected producers Lord Baltimore, DJ Slice(Houston, TX) and Mistress Beats (Baltimore) . Mighty Moe has recorded his best music to date, writing and recording over 100 songs.
