Died Rich Drum roll please……..Topper and Eric finally landed on MySpace under the name Died Rich.
The name: Died Rich is actually an inside joke but it really does have a lot of meaning to it. "Value what you have". You can go your whole life pursuing fame and fortune, trying to become the next big thing and making your millions. In reality, when you’re on your death bed, and you look around at everything you have, the only things that are going to matter are the people you love around you, and the memories you leave behind. How it all began: Our buddy the Vagrant introduced us at Diedrich's Coffee in Irvine. Within a couple of months, a simple hankering for caffeine combined with a grave music addiction escalated into a regular impromptu jam session. Friends and soon to be friends gave us a lot of positive feedback, so we decided to make it a thang. We began writing and arranging our ideas on Mondays, where you can still find us loitering, I mean rockin’ out!
Focus on the Now is our first release. Even though the track needs a little TLC, it is a good representation of our sound. Focus on the Now is about putting all the little things in life behind you and realizing that there is more than tomorrow, there's the moment you live in. Finding your way through life can be hard, and paying too much attention to regret, what you should have done, or thinking too much about what you should plan for, distracts you from enjoying what you have right now. So... Focus on the Now is a song written to remind you to “Give up the act, Focus on the Now!”
We recently played a show at eVocal on May 17 and came away with a couple of live tracks that ARE NOW POSTED ON OUR PAGE!!!!
