I soon rose to fame, at the innocent age of 250, in my home country of Albert due to my astounding bee and wasp collection.
After becoming a millionare through somewhat questionable methods, I invested all my money in a small pornography industry known as "the internet", It was around this time, that my wealth was increased ten fold...
I soon grew tired of my wealth, and burnt it, infront of orphans, it was the only way to rid myself of it, without any body else benefiting, plus it's a real asshole thing to do.
I then gave Bill Gates the secret to world domination, in exchange for his soul, 3 buttons, some pocket fluff, and his milk money, when he was 12.
It was on this same year I found out who my father was; Richard Branson. I am yet to meet him, I hear he's a prick.
It was on my 267th birthday that I was invited to a formal do in Buckingham palace, and since then I've been posing as a member of the Royal Family, Prince Charles to be precise.
In my spare time I am a part-time brain surgeon, grammar nazi, and super hero. I specialise in defeating Godzilla using nothing but household appliances much to the amazement of the Japanese, who have come to see me as a bit of a cult icon.
True story...
Actually, as you may have guessed, it wasn't.
In the real world, I'm just a normal guy, I picked up the guitar at 12, got a tutor and got off to a bit of a rocky start, I never really liked the instrument much, and had little or no love for it at that age. It rarely got used, and eventually the lessons stopped and the guitar began to gather dust for a year or so.
It was when I was 13, that I recieved an album for a birthday from my sister, featuring Yngwie Malmsteen's "Vengeance", and, at that point, my love for guitar, and music was revitalised, I spent the next 4 years studying and practicing songs by my new favourite artists, Jason Becker, Mr Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, and still do.
But, it was at 17 that I found my next major musical addiction. I found Michael Hedges and a wonderous musician; Django Reinhardt. I instantly fell in love with the acoustic fingerstyle genre. While I still play my electric guitar, and occasionally play along to some Racer X, or Mr Big, I've discovered an enourmous love for acoustic style playing.
I don't think music will ever be leaving my life; I'm rather glad of that.
Anyway, that's about it for the minute, I'm planning on doing a Music diploma, then going to Queens to do a Degree. I'm also hoping to do two things, within the next year; First off., Start gigging, and 2ndly., Get an album out. Whether anybody buys it or not I don't really care, it would be nice if they did, but it's more about pushing myself to finally do it. The reason I've held myself back this long, is that, I never wanted to be like those kids who'll do a gig at 13, and play an AC/DC song, even though none of them can sing, and the drummer is busy picking his nose, I never wanted to put a load of videos of me "shredding" on youtube, or put half-assed recordings on myspace, I've always seen that as sort of self-degrading in a way. I wanted to wait till I was ready and could produce something good, and I'm pretty sure I'm close to that point now.
I'll be posting some songs sometime in the following weeks, maybe months if worse comes to worse, I have a terrible habit of writing above my playing standard, which has it's pros and cons, it does I suppose make you a better player, but at the same time, takes you far longer to get it all down and recorded and gig worthy...
