About Me

I'm me, and no one else I've ever met is like me. I'm open, I'm honest, I embrace change. I can be a prick and extremely anti-social at times, but most of the time I like to meet new people and make new friends. I'm a very diverse person on many levels, I like to try new things. I'm a big fan of traveling and love almost everything having to do with water, whether it be rain, swimming, rafting, or cliff-jumping. I'm looking for some new connections, some new people to converse with, some new views to consider. I'm always thinking about the future but living in today. I love creating and building things. Music, drawing, models, furniture, clothing, I want to put my hand into molding the world around me. I believe that life is about having fun, trying new things, and building new relationships with other people, so I'm always up for a new friend. I also like to talk to people through IM's and meet people in person if the distance isn't too bad. One forewarning, I do not add people who do not talk to me first, and I occasionally run through my friends list and remove people from it who I don't feel any connection with, so if you want to be my friend, talk to me, I'll talk back.

I'd like to meet:

I need new people to talk to, so pretty much anyone that can hold a conversation would be good, I'm up for talking about just about anything aside from partying and substances. I'd especially like to hear from people outside the midwest and if you're outside the US even better, I want to relocate after college but I'm not sure where to yet, I want to see the world a little bit before I decide.

Music:

Spastic list: Into Eternity, Iced Earth, Celldweller, Opeth, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Accidia, Rush, Vanessa Carlton, Metallica, Deathstars, Vomitron, Powerglove, Nelly Furtado, Sirenia, Prodigy, KMFDM, The Birthday Massacre, Tina Turner, Emerson Lake and Palmer, ZZ Top, AC/DC

Movies:

LOTR trilogy, The Harry Potter movies, The Alien movies, Predetor, Titan AE, Heavy Metal/2000, most of Jim Carrey's movies and especially the Ace Ventura's, Starship Troopers, The Evil Dead series, Berserk, Idle Hands, Hotel Rwanda. Almost anything other than straight romance.

Television:

simpsons, futurama, family guy, and south park are pretty cool, so are comedy central's stand up comedian bits. That's it for the most part.

Books:

Wraeththu (a trilogy), JRR tolkien's works are amazing, so are Michael Crighton's, The Red Company (old book), Fahrenheit 451, The Dragonlance Chronicles, The Dinotopia books, The Shattered World, Demons, Moonseed, investing books, up-coming science books, and then most sci-fi and fantasy novels tickel my fancy, stuff on anthropology and architecture too.

Heroes:

I don't really have any, I don't think I have since I realized as a young teenager that I had a better head on my shoulders and was more mature than most people two and three times my age.
