sonic alchemy from the late 90s. the early auditory amalgams were mixed almost exclusively on the fly onto a karaoke machine or some other tape deck kicking around. later a four track was incorporated that allowed me a bit more flexibility. then a sampler got in there, about as high tech as i got at that time. tons of pedals, a bunch of gadgets and a radio shack 200 in 1 electronics kit were in the mix, along with an optigan, farfisa, korg something or other, a spring reverb unit, reel to reel, shortwave radio (tube driven, thnx), and whatever else made a noise of interest (in other words, too much to list right now). it seems as tho my sonic creativity surfaces every ten years, it looks like i'm about due for another wave (previous previous was Wednesday Afternoon Wisk Society in the 80s). i've gotten a little practice in the previous few years, so we'll see where it goes…
